Walk with SCC in the Seattle Pride Parade

Happy Pride Month!

Have you ever wanted to walk in the Pride Parade? Whether you already have or want to, come join the Seattle Colleges faculty, staff, students, family, and friends. Show your pride as LGBTQIA+ student of one of the Seattle Colleges. Allies are also especially welcome to walk with us. Meeting time is 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 24. Meeting location is at Seattle City Hall. The plan is to walk from there to Seattle Colleges designated parade staging area, space #158.

This year’s Pride is themed “Pride Beyond Borders.” Seattle College students of all backgrounds will be walking with many different groups of people who identify as LGBTQIA+ or as allies in the parade.

Seattle Central College, located in Capitol Hill can be a draw to queer students who want to study in a neighborhood that welcomes people of all gender and sexual identities. The history of the neighborhood is celebrated especially in the month of June and should also be by students of SCC.

If you came to SCC to be a part of a community for those reasons, come walk with us on Sunday! If you don’t know about the rich and inclusive history of SCC, come walk with us on Sunday and learned about your school!

If you are interested in marching and want additional details or an opportunity to volunteer, email the Student Coordinator, Tiffany Ashton at tiffany-ashton.gat1@seattlecentral.edu.

See you at Pride!
