Wallace Goleeke’, the man who took the Ingraham High School choir to Japan in 1964, has come to Seattle Community College to head the Music Department.
Goleeke, who is working on his Ph.D. at the University of Washington, served in the U. S. Navy for three years.
At present he is forming a choir to be known as the College Chorale, which meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:30 p.m. The Chorale will have its first performance on December 4, free of charge. The time and place is not known at the
present time.
Goleeke is planning to begin a College chorous next quarter for students interested.
There are openings for the Chorale next quarter, also. These groups’ repertoire will include anything from jazz to opera. His classroom is 321S, Edison South.
